Jodi isn't just doing this walk in order to help find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis, she herself has the disease and is hoping a cure is found in her lifetime.
Let's let Jodi share for herself:
Hi everyone! I'm Jodi and I blog over at Jodi Bean's Blog. My blog is like a scrapbook of my life. I blog about family, friends, vacations, weekend shenanigans, and living with MS.
In 2008, literally out of nowhere I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. You can read all about that day here. I was very overwhelmed and confused but one thing I knew for sure was that I would not let MS "have" me. I would still do all the things I loved to do and I would work hard to raise money to find a cure.
In September I will walk 50 miles in 3 days at the MS Challenge Walk on Cape Cod. This will be my forth year participating in this event but second walking (the first two years I was on the crew). Completing this walk last year was a HUGE accomplishment for me. You can read all about my experience here.
I am so excited to participate in this event again this year. This year I plan to train a wee bit more than last year and I hope to raise a heck of a lot more money!
Come stop by my blog and be sure to let me know if you do. I love meeting and connecting with other bloggers.
Thank you very much Susannah. I really appreciate you sharing my story and a cause that is so close to my heart.
Jodi told me that, although each participant is required to raise $1,500, she hopes to raise at least $3,000. Can you help get her reach that goal?
If you'd like me to share about your ministry, fundraiser, missions trip, etc. in April, please email me at susannah.kellogg(at)gmail.com

This is absolutely wonderful, and I have the uttermost faith that you will reach your goal!

I love running for a cause! And my mind is boggled by the runner in the lego costume, because I ran a Ragnar Relay two years ago with a whole group of people in lego costumes we made out of boxes. Maybe we started a trend??
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU for bringing more awareness to MS :)
ReplyDeleteit's always great when you get to run for a cause other than just for your own benefit!
ReplyDeleteMucho ánimo, seguro que con un poco de entrenamiento más lo harás sin problema. Yo he participado en varios y lo que más me gusta es el buen ambiente y la cantidad de gente maja que conoces.
ReplyDeleteI hope she reaches her goal! I love how you spotlight causes each month!
